Happy New Year Wyoming!!
It is a cold and crisp morning here. The sun is just starting to rise. The thermometer reads 3 degrees. No snow in the forcast.
My NYR- Back to Basics! This is a wonderful tool but we still have to shoulder a great deal of personal responsibility in how we use it. The holidays have been a bit more of a challenge than I wanted. I can eat foods I had hoped I would not be able to tolerate! This is good and bad. Good as I can celebrate the holidays with my favorite foods. Bad as I now know I can eat these foods and might be tempted everyday.
I am still thankful for the surgery and the changes I have made in my life. I would gladly do it all over again!

Hi Marilyn. I had Lap Band done in Aug. I am happy to hear that you lost 100 pounds. I am looking forward to that day.
I know how frustrating this whole thing can be. My husband is pretty supportive but I sabotabge myself in this process. During the Holidays I have eaten entirely too much and gained some weight. But today is a new day and I am starting over. Don't let yourself go all the way back to old ways and old days. You have done a great job and it's just a matter of getting back to what works. Do you still have restriction in your band? Maybe a trip to your surgeon is in order.
Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. I have found that support is the most important thing for me. When I isolate and don't talk to people food becomes my best friend and worst enemy.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck.

Topic: SURGERY SUPPORT ANGELS NEEDED
Hello to Everyone,
I have started a list on my OH blog for persons interested in becoming a SURGERY SUPPORT ANGEL. If you are interested in being a support person please put an entry into the comment spot, just click on my name to go there.
Please sign-up for a SURGERY SUPPORT ANGEL, there are so many people that would like someone to give update reports, call them and keep tabs on their well-being after surgery.
A lot of patients go without because they don't know how to find someone.
