Frankie-
Barillo is "known for" being on the high end... .I think mainly because of his location. I live in Powell, work in Cody but still chose to go with Dr. Lewis. He has a wonderful easy going personality which makes for really easy communication. Both of his nurses Judy (3 years out from RNY) and Donna are fabulous! They are always available by phone, email, whatever. Dr. Lewis and Donna have helped get a support group going in the Cody area which shows how commited he is to the aftercare of his patients...and others... anyone can attend, not just HIS patients. To me that speaks volumes for his character.
I am doing the band vs. RNY so I'm not sure what he charges for RNY. You might ask Lenette she is having RNY tomorrow, right before my band.
Feel free to message me or post here, and I will do what I can to help... oh and both Dr Lewis's clinic as well as RMH take Care Credit.... you might check them out for financing.

Topic: looking for cheyenne support group and nutritionist
Does anyone know of a support group in Cheyenne open to people that have had their surgery elsewhere. I moved here from NJ. I would also like to get some nutritional counseling and my insurance will pay if I can find someone in network. Can anyone recommend someone that specializes in gastric by-pass patients. I'm 2 years out, gaining slightly even though I am very careful with keeping track of calories and nutrition and exercise regularly. It may just be an increase in muscle weight, but I would like to go over my diet now with a specialist. Thanks, Sharon

Hi Kenya, I'm usually there during the day. Right now I've been working out about 3 times a week with hubby, but I'd love to get there almost daily and at least do some cardio. I'm presently job hunting so who knows what my schedule will be if I find work. When are you usually working out?

Hi, That seems very high for the surgery, but then it depends on your condition. I had laporoscopic rny in nj, and it ran $25,000.00. My insurance paid all but $1500. It may be cheaper to travel a little as long as it is to a great surgeon. Best of luck. Sharon

You don't know me, but I live in Riverton also and am considering gastric bypass surgery. I went to Jackson for a consult with Dr. Barillo and was told that the total cost would be about $51,000. Could you please give me your opinion of Dr. Lewis and share with me approximately what your surgery is supposed to run you? I have to find financing for mine, but I need to make sure I'm picking the right doc.
Thanks Jamie.
Sincerely,
Frankie Larkey
P.S. Hope everything goes well for you dear.

We are going to WalMart tonight, so I am going to look there. It sounds like a good atlernative, I am getting bored with the things I am drinking and it is only 5 days out.
I am also wanting to find a support group, but it sounds like I am going to have to start one here in Gillette. I don't even know where to start. Do you happen to know of any support groups close to me?
THanks,
Dottie

Hi WyominGirl!
I just met Dr. Lewis a week ago tonight. He's AWESOME and so is Donna! They came to Cody for a support group meeting. The support group is just getting started there. I love those two!! I can't imagine how much wonderful information and support they will be to those of us in the Big Horn Basin.
Great to see you here!!
