Topic: RE: looking for cheyenne support group and nutritionist
Thank you both for the info. I contacted Dr. Parnell's office & they will see me and do take my insurance. Great luck! They are sending me a package of forms to fill out pre-visit and info on the support group. Regards, Sharon

Hi Vera!
I'm wondering when the next BHB Support group date is? I think you said it was the second Thursday of each month right? That would be the April 10th if I'm right. I'm also wondering if there indeed has been a change of location? I'm sooooo excited about this group that I can hardly wait to come to the one in April!
Let me know how you're doing also, ok?
Hugsssssssss,
Brenda
Topic: RE: Where is everyone?
I remember the clear liquids phase very well. When I could no longer take the sweet clear liquids (sf koolaid, crystal light, sf jello, popsicles, etc) I switched to broths. The last day of my clear liquid diet my husband and I had gone to Olive Garden to purchase gift cards for my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband for keeping and feeding our sons for us while we had to be away that week.....since we were there and my husband needed to eat something I suggested he just eat there since we were already there. The waiter asked if he could get anything for me. I explained that I'd just had gastric bypass surgery and could only have clear liquids.....he brought me strained broth to their minestrone soup....OMGGGGGG I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven! It was the best thing I'd ever eaten to that point in life! I thoroughly enjoyed the couple ounces I got to eat.
I know this hasn't been much help, but I'd try broths or strained broth-based soups. It's a very nice change from the sweet stuff for sure.
God bless you Jamie and let me know how you're doing ok?

I am over two years out from rny surgery and have had no issues. I take my vitamins, eat properly, and exercise. I did not feel that the band would work for me because there is still hunger. There are also a lot of complications and concerns with the band cutting through the stomach etc. I felt safer with a surgery that is well established and with documented results. Everyone's decisions are personal and you should educate yourself about all of the choices. I've had my lbl, bl/ba, & face lift already. I'm hoping to get an inner thigh lift this summer. :-) Regards, Sharon

Wow!! You are answering questions quite thoroughly, and you have Noooo Idea how much that means to me lol. You can also email me @ [email protected] I would like to know more about the OptiSource and the drinks. Just fire away lol, I am so thirsty for knowledge right now it's unreal. Was it super hard to adjust to everything the first week? I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure etc... do you feel light headed at all? How long do you take your meds after getting this done? Or do you even take meds? I also take Effexor XR and I wonder if I'll be able to quit taking those as well... Just some Questions lol
Thanks again,
Frankie
