Topic: Coming back to WY for a visit
I am getting ready for my annual visit to my place out west of Casper in September. I hope that all of you in Wyoming are doing well. I can't wait to see those wide open spaces again. Nothing in this world is like the open skies at night over Wyoming.

I must agree with the previous poster.  I live in Douglas, which is even smaller than Riverton.  I think we might have 6 or 7 thousand people here, in our town.  The only thing I don't like about Green River or Rock Springs, is that they get more snow than we do, here in central Wyoming.  What does your husband do for work?

Hi Ashley!
Well, either town is nice, but I only know of them from passing through or when I've stayed there on occassion. Rock Springs has a population of about 20,000 and Green River has a population of about 12,000. Both are bigger than where I live, which is Riverton (we have just under 10,000 as of the last census in 2000). I LOVE Wyoming. No matter where you go, there is beauty. Rock Springs and Green River are both right off of I-80, so it's pretty easy to get almost anywhere you need to go. I've also included a couple of links for both towns to help you in your research. Good luck and let us know if you do end up moving!

Can anyone tell me about Green River or Rock Springs WY?  My husbands job may need him to relocate from Texas to one of these towns?  Any info would be great!

TIA
Ash :)

We are almost there (weekend) again. How is your week going?
My hubby has to have an ultrasound on a suspicious lump this morning, so we are kind of stressed. It looks to be nice today, not to hot and not to windy. Have a great day!

I love frontier days but I don't live there, lol. That is nice your ex-father in law is coming to see you. I hope you have a great time. I am glad your weekend turned out to be nice.

I had Friday off of work, but had to work all day Saturday.  It started raining here at 4:00 Saturday afternoon and didn't stop until minutes before the fireworks were supposed to start.  I watched them from my window until I saw people I knew standing outside, then I went out.  It's been raining all afternoon again today.  I was going to walk to get groceries, but I think I'll have to drive.  I just feel lazy when I drive there because I live so close.

Everyone here is gearing up for Frontier Days.  It's starts up on the 17th and my (former) father-in-law in coming to see me for a couple days during the craziness.

Hope you had a good weekend.

I think we are just going to stay home. We can see the fireworks from our house so I think we will just stay here and watch from our yard. We usually go somewhere on the weekends but we will stay at home this weekend as we are planning a vacation the week of the 18th. We tend to spend way to much money on our weekends out. LOL Home is safer.

So it will be a quiet weekend for us, close to home.
