Anyone there?

Is there anyone in Wyoming that has has had any kind of surgery and want to chat?  I had surgery on June 7, 2007.  I sometimes have questions but just mostly need to know there are others out there that are going through the same stuff.

Dottie I hope your approval comes through soon, the wait is difficult.  I had my surgery in Spearfish with Dr. Quigley on June 7, 2007.  I did not realize that there was a Dr. in Gillette that performs gastric surgeries. My email is [email protected] Look forward to chatting with you.  LaRinda

I had surgery 1/2006.  I will share what I know!

Way to go Teresa!That is a great weight loss.  My name is Sue and I live in Greybull, Wy.  I just found the WY sight on OH and glad to have someone more locally to chat with.  I had my surgery on May 21, 2007.  I had my 3 month check up yesterday and I am about 20 Pounds from my goal weight.  I can't believe it already.  I only had a BMI of 37.5 to start with, but several other co-morbities.

Hi WyoSue!   I have been to Greybull once.  Well. I dorve though!   I am glad to hear you are doing so well.   Where did you have your surgery?  I had mine in Salt Lake.  

Hi Teresa, I had mine in Billings, MT.  It is the closest for us.  How are things going for you?  I've been through Green River also.  We are at opposite ends of the state though.  It would be nice to have some type of conference for WLP in Wyo.  Sue

Hi WyoSue, My surgery was June 7th, I can eat hardly anything.  You?  What is the most suprising of what has happened since surgery?   Did you tell everyonethat you were going in for surgery?  I toldonly a few.  Thanks for responding.  LaRinda

Hi LaRinda,  I had my surgery on May 21st and I am able to eat about 1/2 cup of protein at one time.  I had to have a stricture opened twice, the last time was the end of June.  The most surprising thing since surgery is how fast I've dropped in sizes, more so than even the weight loss.  I went for my 3 mo. checkup yesterday and they told me I only had 20lbs to go to reach my goal of 142lbs, but I could lose more if I wanted too. WOW!  I told some people and I've told anyone that has noticed that I'm losing weight that I had gastric bypass.  I had my surgery in Billings and I'm so happy that I did it.  Sue
