I agree with Shannon and Janet... you have to do this for YOU.
My husband is very supportive but I havent even told my mother or my in laws because I knew they would be jerks about this.
Im going through this process because its something Im doing for MYSELF. No one else lives in my skin but me. Only I will benefit.
Only YOU will benefit and youre all that counts!

I am officially 3 days post op now. I am still really sore. My surgery took about 2 hours due to complications. Dr had to do through about 4 inches of muscle on my left side but I am feeling pretty good considering. I want to thank everyone who has shown me support through this whole ordeal. You guys are wonderful. I especially want to thank my angel Jenny Carr for keeping everyone update on my progess. I will post more soon.

i was wondering if you could take the time to vote for my irish nephews photo in the jones' soda lable contest. We dont win anything his pic will just be on a bottle of their soda and no i dont work for them or will be getting any prize etc. So please vote and give him a "10" we would love to see him win! Topic: Beckley WLS Support Grp Mtg 7/18
Hi Everyone!
The Beckley WLS Support Group meeting will be held on Monday, July 18, from 7:00-9:00pm at Raleigh General Hospital on Harper Road, Beckley. Our meeting location is in the RGH Education Center (annex building on the Kroger side). Entrance is at the top of the wheelchair ramp. Guests are welcome and everyone is encouraged to attend!
A Yahoo Group just for the Beckley WLS Support Group is now online! Now you can talk to a support group member anytime! Help get our online group going by posting a message today! http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/beckleywlssg/ (If you don't already have a Yahoo ID, getting one is easy and FREE!)
CLOTHING EXCHANGE: We will now have a clothing exchange at each meeting! You are welcome to bring any clothes that no longer fit you and take home some that do. As you lose out of them, bring them back and exchange them for others! You do not have to bring clothing to take clothing, and bringing clothing is not required.
Restaurant cards for Dr. Shin and Dr. Stickler's patients will be available for anyone who needs one. There will be a door-prize drawing for anyone attending who has had weight-loss surgery. Don't forget to bring a recipe (or two...or three) for our online group cookbook (or you can email them to us), a "before" picture (if you have one), or even bring some "before" clothes!

Congrats Kathy!!!!! I know how I felt when I got approved it felt wonderful and relieved that it finaly came. It took me 8 mounths to get there with all the test and proof of dieting and then waiting for doctor to get paper work done but it finaly came on march 21st had my surgery and 70 pounds lighter you are going to feel it to. Our prayers are with you . As soon as you can let us know how you are feeling. Take care Trina
