Hi Em! Welcome to WV!
I went to school (many many years ago) at WVU. What part of Morgantown are you settling in to? I'm now in Charleston - about 3 hours south of you.
Wait til you see the fall up there! It will take your breath away!

Topic: RE: Insurance
Start by calling your insurance company. They have different requirements and you want to do exactly to the letter what they say they need to approve you.
I have Aetna POS... with them you need 6 months physician monitored weight loss program... or a 3 month interdisciplinary program. I"m doing the 3 month with Dr Stickler.
Each insurance is different. You could always ask them to mail you the information. Aetna has 'on line' their Clinical Policy Bulletins that lead you read everything line by line.
I recommend getting that first so you know what direction to start in. It's like a road trip... you have to have a map to know how to get there! Good luck and keep us posted!

good morning Barb,
it was a nice surprise to see your email this morning! Vienna is a nice little town isnt it? I hope you get your insurance things done and get approved, are you going thru Charleston to have yours done? I have a good friend that went thru Dr.Strickler there, and they say he is the best, so I wish you the best with yours too. My days are getting closer, I am so excited, but scared at the same time, I thought I would never see this day come. You take care of yourself, and I sure will be praying for you too! stay in touch when you can.

Hi Susan!
I'm originally from Vienna... graduated from PHS. I'm now in Charleston.
It's great that you have a date set. I'm still working on my program to get insurance to approve my surgery.
It's nice to see another person join the WV Boards!

Hello all,
Well I wnet to my first post op visit yesterday and had my drain removed. Boy that was an experience in itself. Can you say MAJOR CRAMPING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was going to get sick but I got through it. By the grace of God. I was hurting the rest of the day. Today I am better. I am still running a low grade fever though. Now for the good news. I got on the scales at the doctor's office and I lost 23 lbs since 2 days before surgery. jump: I am so happy. I even got to start on pureed foods now. And I am going back to work on Monday. Yea!!!!!!!! for me. Well talk to you all later.
