Topic: RE: Pretty Profile?
Hey there. I spruced up my profile by adding html tags. This can be confusing if you do not know html, but there is a site out there to help you. It is called Lissa Explains it all, or something to that matter. Search for it on google. I have been working on my profile, but there are still some broken links and pictures that do not work. Usually I can see them if I right-click the photo and go to show photo. I am working on it though, hope this helps.

Topic: RE: WEIGHT GAIN
I just wanted to let you know that we ( the BPSWV support group) are announcing a 6 week Back on Track / Kick Start program. This program is designed for WLS patients that have failed to achieve their weight-
loss goal or re-gained weight. It is a special 6 week program that
will meet the specific needs that are not being met by the
traditional support group or online support forums. It is
exclusively for long-term WLS patients that are seeking a
maintenance plan for life or a need to kick start to loose or re-
loose a few extra pounds. This program is designed to incorporate
ALL of the key elements of long-term success. Experience has taught
that WLS patients to fail to meet their weight loss goals feel like
ultimate failures and start experiencing feelings again of
discouragement, self-doubt and embarrassment - especially if they
realize they have regained some weight. This program will give you
the knowledge and tools to turn these feeling to success and
optimism again. The group will be limited to 15 participants. It has gotten a vey positive response and we've scheduled a second class on Thursday evenings at Medabolix. This is something that I think you'd enjoy very much.

Topic: RE: I am a local now.
Hi Lisa,
Welcome to our area. We have a strong support group in Charleston. Bariatric Patients of Southern WV. We meet the 2nd Friday of each month at 6:00pm at Medabolix (600 Tracey Way, Charleston) and the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00pm in Dunbar, for what we call "Focus on Fitness" we spend the first 45 minutes on a fitness activity then we talk and share. We'd just love to have you. If you're out and about this weekend, we'll be at Sam's Wholesale Club in Southridge having a hot dog sale to help raise funds for the Disney Marathon we're doing in January. Come by and let us meet you and have lunch while you're at it! Lori

I can say "ditto" to the other comments regarding the Cincinnati conference. It was so wonderful to meet so many happy people who aren't necessarily worried about how many pounds they've lost, but about how much life they've gained! Thank you for allowing me to feel like a success and giving me the motivation to not stop because I've regained 20 pounds but pull myself up and know all you people are here to help me. The vendors were great, the sessions were great, the doorprizes were great, lunch was great! I learned so much and I'm excited about bringing it back to our local support group. Thanks!
Topic: RE: Signed a lease!
There are two WLS support groups in Morgantown. The one at Mon General Hospital meets every first Monday of the month from 6:00-7:00pm in the Hazel McQuain Conference Center (which is in the back of the hospital). I've not been to that one in the past three months because it conflicted with my water aerobics class. You might want to call the hospital and double check to see if they're still meeting on that date.
The support group at Ruby Memorial Hospital meets every third Wednesday from 6:00-7:00pm in one of the conference rooms on the 4th floor/next to the cafeteria (just follow the signs for gastric bypass support group).
I grew up in Morgantown and still work there so if you want more info or just want to get together with another postop, send me an email. My email addy is [email protected]
Are you here for school? What area of study?
