Rachel Jane Try not to let it get you down. My niece also has PEIA and been denied 3 times. I know how frustrated, aggrevated, etc. etc. she is...so you are not in that boat alone. Just keep hanging in there...once the wait is over and you are finally approved...it will be worth it. Janet

is FADING! PEIA makes us wait a year, be on a medically supervised weight loss plan. Mine isn't up, nor will it be until sometime in January. I hate the waiting game so much. If I wasn't broke I'd pay for it myself. This stinks. I'm trying so hard to keep at it and just deal but it's getting more and more difficult each day. I try not to think about it, but for a me, that's nearly impossible. SDF'A'DS;LJA;SLDFJA;LSKFJ!! I have to come back to the site and sift through before and after photos to keep my spirits up and keep me going on this God forsaken journey I've been on. YES I know I'm being very whiney, but most of you should understand. I know I can't be the only one to ever deal with this. Sorry, just needed to vent. Did anyone do the Walk From Obesity Walk on Saturday? I was able to. The weather was great and for the first walk in the Huntington area...good turn-out. The girls at St. Mary's did a great job putting this together. Hopefully...see you next year!

I now have Mtn State BCBS through my new employer and they tell me right now, they will cover WLS. However, I am having trouble finding a local surgeon who isn't 5 hours away. Can anyone suggest anyone who takes this insurance? I have had 3 different companies since 1999. This is the fourth, and the first one who has actually said yes. My BMI is over 60 and i am only 5'2". My health is detoriating and I take so many meds. Any help?
