Topic: On Our Way to Morgantown!!!
We leave today for Morgantown for my surgery tomorrow morning. I will keep you updated after I get back home. I am not looking forward to the laxatives today. After 14 days of nothing but Carnation IB, I would not expect much to be up there. This day has been a long time coming. Thank you for all of the love and support sent my way since I discovered this site. Curt

Curt, Congratulations to you both on your upcoming surgeries. You will find that it is the best decision that you have ever made in your life. Sure I had a few doubts just after surgery, but I would do it again in a minute. May God Bless you both. Jenny 262.5/198/145

Topic: Bring it On!
I woke up very early this am. I am like a kid at Christmas. When I get excited about something, my mind says get up and see if Santa has been here yet. Friday cannot come soon enough. I am a high school teacher so I have had to write three weeks worth of lesson plans, train my sub and a host of other things to get ready. All of that is pretty much done. This website has been the best thing I have found for information. It should be mandatory for everyone contemplating the surgery. Not only is the information good, it comes from those in the process. It also lets one know that obesity is a problem for thousands upon thousands of people. Curt

Topic: RE: My patience..
I have PEIA and was prepared to have my surgery this past June but because my PCP wasnt keeping good notes regarding my case, PEIA denied me. They needed one year of DOCUMENTED records. ARGH! I was discouraged, angry and feel your pain, but what could I do? I certainly couldnt afford to pay for it myself so I had no choice but to wait. Im getting my paperwork together at this moment to 'try again'. Im anxious but time has really gone by very quickly. I should be ready to submit my paperwork by the end of November. Hopefully, this time, I wont be denied again. If I am, Im going to keep on trying until the say yes! January is almost here. It will come before you know it. Try to keep the faith. Jen

Topic: Friday!!!!!!!
Friday is Curt's big day!!! He got on the scales this morning and had a big surprise. He has been on CIB for ten days and has lost 26 pounds since his preop appointment. He says, "Bring it on!" "Light this candle!" "Lets get this show on the road!" "No guts, no glory!" Yes, Curt is a walking cliche. Topic: Fashion Show Models for OH Convention Needed!
I'm starting to gather the new Fashion Show Models for the Saturday Night Fashion show at December's OH National Convention in Irvine, California! I've heard from a few of you "officially," but some others have said they are interested, and I haven't heard "officially!" This is a really "fun" event that anyone on their journey can participate in. But it's "first come, first served!" Here's what I need...if you did not model in last year's Fashion Show, and want to be in this year's, email me at [email protected] and send me a before picture of yourself in jpg format to use. Also start thinking about what you are going to model. The theme for the show is "Dream It, Be It" and I want all models to think of either something they dreamed of wearing before WLS and now can finally do so, or something they want to (or wanted to) be and wear an outfit indicative of that! Then I need a little "blurb" to read about you...your WLS date, your total pounds lost, and a little bit about your "dream!" And for all of you who modeled last year...I need you, too! After the "newbie models" have come out, I want to have you come out also, but your "blurb" needs to include any changes since last year...new "significant other," new job, new plastic surgery, whatever! Just so we can see that your "dream" is well on it's way! An email has been sent to each of the last year models, and you should have it...but if it doesn't show up in your mailbox, that's what I'm looking for. Please also email me at [email protected] with your info. I won't need your "before" photo, because I'll just be announcing your name, and your "update" as you come out. Thanks! Hope to hear from all of you soon! And GUYS....YES you can model! We had guys last year! Stagedoor Debbie California
