I was reading your post and had to chime in. I am from a town about 25 miles from Sago mine. I personally knew a couple of the men whom lost their lives. It is an enourmous tragedy. These families will certainly need all the prayers and comfort they can get right now. My DH has 2 cousins that work in Sago mine, they normally work night shift but since Sunday was a Holiday they were not at work. I am thankful that they were fortunate enough to be home and safe. The good lord works in mysterious ways and we should all cherish each and every day we are blessed with on this earth.

If anyone has any information as to a fund, can you please email me. I have been asked by people, including our school. I do not give to the red cross, I used to volunteer with them and know where the money really goes. Kim, I do know that medicaid and medicare will cover the surgery if you meet the qualifications. My doctor is in Huntington WV and he accepts both of these. His name is Dr.Blaine Nease and he is a wonderful surgeon. I had surgery six months ago and I would never think of anyone else doing my surgery. I hope I could be helpful. I have medicaid and I know its very hard to get approved with it , I know they will need a medical weight loss diet and diet history, and have other health issues like diabetes, heart disease, lymph edema. Just anything looks great on the surgery file.
