I was just approved on WV medicaid. i didn't need the exerise part. but i did need all the other mentioned. Also one of the best things i did was contact Senator Byrd. His office looked into things for me and that moved my approval along. I start my 2 day liquid and pre tomorrow and have surgery on monday the 11 of Dec. Good luck on your journeys. Debbie

Well here I am .....tomorrow is my birthday...my boyfriend is mad at me (which has become a regular thing these days). I have no plans, no presents and I am another freaking year older. However on the bright side, I have gone from 322 lbs to 205 lbs in a few short months. I do feel so much healthier this year and Thanksgiving did not go bad at all. It was actually the first time in years that I had total control. I didnt overindulge in anything and I even cooked without tasting everything I made a couple of times. I did not get sick and I even managed to have a few things I was not suppose too..but it was the Holiday and I decided a few bites was not going to kill me. Now to my vent. I am been proverbally stuck at 205, 207, 203 for weeks now. I am dying to see 199 and I feel like it is my scales way of playing a cruel ass joke on me. The clothes are still getting bigger on me..so I am losing inches...but the scale just will not drop to 199. I have tried the plateu buster diet....didnt work for me..I have stopped eating and only did liquids..didnt work..i have tried eating all the time...that definately didnt work. So I have stopped. There is no worse feeling post weight loss surgery emotionally I think. You keep feeling like..well this is the end of the road..no more weight loss for me. This is as far as I am going to get. And if it is..I am ok with that..I mean hell...over 100 lbs is nothing to laugh about right? I have gone from a size 28/30 to a size 18/20, my tops are 14/16. Not bad at all. Sorry for the vent..but I am sitting here feeling sorry for myself today when I should be feeling just the opposite.

I live in Martinsburg too. I feel kind of foolish, I have been on this board for several months and never thought to look at the WV state board. DUH. I am having surgery in Woodbridge, VA. I wi**** were closer or that there was a support group here in Martinsburg. I am happy to find there are others in my area. Maybe we could form our own support group.

I live in Martinsburg too, I would love to find a local support group, but there is not one to my knowledge. My surgeon has them but that is a two hour drive for me and not feasible. Where is she having her surgery done?

I do not know of any support groups near Martinsburg. Both my wife and I have had GBS last year and are doing very well. Our surgery was done at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. We live in Berkeley Springs and would be happy to provide some support based upon our experiences. We have absolutely no regrets about the surgery. It has been a blessing. Between the two of us we have lost over 250 pounds. Curt

I have a friend who is getting ready for WLS and she lives in Martinsburg. If anyone can help me with some dates, times, and directions for support groups close to her, I would appreciate it. She joined me tonight at our group in Fredericksburg, VA, and we want her to continue to come, but she needs something closer to home! Thank you ever so much for your help. Hi my name is Josie...Kylielou is my daughters name. I am currently trying to meet the requirements for Medicaid. They ARE tough!!!! I only need somemore diet and exercise documentation. If your medicaid is through Unicare they are currently offering 16 weeks free of Weigh****chers to help get yours in. I am startin it tomarrow so hopefully it wont be long. I am getting credit since July so everyone keep me in your prayers. If anyone wants the info on weigh****chers I have all the numbers you need to try to get started. The only requirement is your doctor has to reccommend it...Most PCP are willing to help... Like I said email me if you want the info...Good Luck...
