Topic: New to the message board
Hello...I am looking to have the Lap-Band procedure done. My insurance will not cover any type of bariatric surgery even if it is a health issue, so I have to finance. I am interested in hearing any input you want to offer on this procedure and finding a good surgeon that has a reasonable charge. So far I am looking to make an appt. with Laura Velcu in KY.

Unless I want to go to Huntington, which I don't (nothing against it, Charleston's just home for me) I only have two choices. I have time to decide completely, but I've got an idea. *shrug* Like I said, I have time, because I know I'm going to end up in a fight with insurance to get it approved, so we'll see.

Hey Max,
Congratulations on your surgery. You will feel like a different woman in a few months. Always ask if you need anything. Now were in this together.. Good luck!!!

This board is usually pretty quiet. I keep hoping for some life soon. Have you picked a surgeon yet?
Topic: So...
This board needs to liven up. C'mon people, I know you're there. I see you! Anyone have plans for the weekend? Tell me where in WV you are, 'cause I don't pay attention enough to look at everyone's info! FYI about me - I haven't had surgery yet, but I'm working on it! I'm still in the process of going to my PCP so I can hopefully get approval for it. I'm in Charleston (live in East Bank), by the way. If you have AIM or Yahoo Messenger, let me know!

Hi Greg, I am not from Wheeling but thought I would jump in and welcome you. You will find the WV Board is not very active. There are a few that keep tryingn to get it going here "Lea's name comes to mind" but so far not much activity. I wanted to make you aware of the Mens Board, come and check it out. http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/men/
