Hello! It is so wonderful to finally get a response from someone - especially after calling Cabell for two weeks and getting the same recording! I typed a whole reply to your message this morning, but I haven't seen it on here - so I must have messed something up! If you get two replies from me I apologize. Anyway, I have tried both of the numbers gave me at least 100 times in two weeks. Now, today, I get a new message - saying that she will be out until March 3. I am NEEDING to attend the March 6th seminar - I already have a babysitter for that date! - but I am worried that it will be full by the time I actually get to speak to someone in the office. Do you think it would help if I drove to the hospital to try and talk to someone about attending the seminar? A few questions for you: How long did the seminar last? Did you have Lap or bypass. I am interested in Lap. Has the surgery been a sucess? Are you happy with the results? Did you suffer any complications? Does Dr. Nease require a pre-op diet that people talk about on here? (it scares me because I have failed all diets - and for some reason I don't doubt that I will fail the pre-op diet as well ;) Sorry for screaming all of these questions at you at one time! I have been reading about the Lap band for approximately 2 years...and just found out that my insurance will cover it....so I am wanting to go forward with this now....today....YESTERDAY! i have never gotten the chance to actually speak to someone who has had WLS until you came along....I have always just been a reader (lurker) - and how wonderful it is that you had the surgery with Dr. Nease as your surgeon whom I am interested in having to do mine! Thanks again SO MUCH for replying....I was feeling so alone!!

Thank you sooooo much for responding. I have been so aggravated at the whole situation lately. I have been calling every day for two weeks to get into the seminar. I have read about it for two years...and then finally made the decision and finally gained family support - and then have not been able to talk to ANYONE to get me started on this journey. Those are the numbers I have called every day. Wonder if I could drive up to the hospital and get a seat for the seminar that way? I am literally thinking of doing that. Thank you so much for your phone number - that is so generous! I have a lot of questions! Did you have Lap or Bypass? Were you happy with Dr. Nease? Was the surgery a sucess? Does Dr. Nease require a pre-op diet? If I cannot get through by telephone, do you think it will help by just going to Cabell and signing up for the seminar that way? Again, thank you so much for taking the time to respond....I appreciate it sooooo much!
