Any Regrets????
How many of you have had the gastric bypass surgery and love the weight loss, but honestly wish you would have found another way to loose weight?? How many of you almost regret getting the surgery? And is the lapband surgery a better alternative than the gastric bypass??
If you could have lost the weight any other way, knowing what you know now, would you still have had a gastric bypass??? I am curious...thanks!
Hey there Donna!
I had WLS January 11th and have lost 135 lb. I had tried every diet out there...some twice plus had a membership to the YMCA. I feel WLS was my only way to lose the weight.
Having the WLS and knowing what I know now, I do not regret for one moment on having the surgery. I just wished I had done it earlier. I still have about 40 lb. to go and the weight loss has slowed down. But already shedding 135 with only 40 more to go.....I know I can do it.
As far as lap band better alternative than gastric bypass surgery, personally I think it is an individual's decision. I felt the gastric bypass surgery was a better choice for me.

Donna,
I have no regrets whatsoever. I am one of those people who has to have a consequence to my actions. If I eat something that has too much sugar in it, I throw up. I am one of those people who dump, but not everyone does. I have tried many diets in the past and some have worked for a while and others have not, but the weight has never stayed off. At this point I am almost 5 months out and I am down 72 pounds. This is a major milestone for me. I am 44 years old and soon to be a grandmother. I feel the best that I ever have in my life.
I personally like the gastric bypass. I disliked the idea of the lapband because of the fills that have to be done every so often. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.
Good Luck,
Jenny
