Hey! My sister-in-law is interested in looking into WLS and I'm trying to help her find a good place to start. She is 5'6" and 235lbs, BMI 37.6 and has a lot of comorbidities- high cholesterol, medicated but uncontrolled high blood pressure, skin rashes, stress incontence, the works. Her current dr says she doesn't qualify, but everything I've seen on here says she does. I'm hoping to help her find a sympathetic doctor that will at least consider a referral. She is in Charleston and has Cigna insurance. Any suggestions??? Thanks Rebecca

Hi Rebecca- Call the Medabolix office and get your sister in a seminar with Dr. Daniel Stickler. His info can be found on this website. He is a very good phyician. There is another doctor in Charleston who used to be in practice with Dr. Stickler who is also a very good physician, Dr. Shin. Either one would be great. Dr. Shin is now over the bariatic weight loss clinic at Women's and Childrens Hospital here in Charleston. His info too can be found on this site. I hope this helps get you on the right track!! Rebecca, Your sister-in-law can find the information she needs at www.medabolix.com. The website can be her link to help her begin the process. She can view the seminars online and then call to schedule an appointment if she wishes. Michelle
