Let's get the WV Board Going! Are you in?

I am orgianlly from Huntington WV moved to Greenville SC in 1993. I still have a lot of friends and family in WV. I would love to be a part of this board. I still call WV home (which makes my husband mad he says SC is my home now). I try to get home as often as I can. I had my gastric bypass on 8/14/2002. I have gained some weight back(25lbs) due to some medication, but I am working on trying to get it back off now which is hard. I still think this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I would like some information on some of the Dr's in WV for a friend of mine, she would like to have the surgery. Thanks Deb Go HERD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deb, I just re-read your post. Some doctors in WV, who are very good are Dr. Stickler, who posted to this thread, and Dr. Shin. Both are in Charleston. I believe that there is one in Huntington, also. Hope this helps some. Of course who she chooses will depend on her and where she lives. Jenny

i know its past the holiday, but i just found this post. i am 2 weeks post-op and doing wonderful. i will try to locate the wv post board on here. right now i don't know where to find it.

Janet.... I'd love to see the WV board start gearing up and being active. I visit here every day now that I've found it. I have my first consult tomorrow... so I'll post after that to let newbies to the process be able to follow along. It's nice to have people that you feel 'close to' on the boards. I have a couple of friends who are about 1.5 years post-op that work in my office. I might mention to them that we could sure use their 'expertise' on the WV boards and see if I can get them to join us! ---Barb A
