Has anyone had trouble keeping the weight off for an extended amount of time? I find it difficult to keep it off! My surgery was to "cure" my infertility, which it did (proud Mom of a 3yo) but now I have NO support and find my old habits haunting me. I was 288# pre op and dropped to an all time low of 150# three years ago. I'm now BACK UP to 210 and am having a TERRIBLE time getting back into the correct routines. I live in Bluefield, WV...anyone in this area want to buddy up and help each other????????????? *HUGS* Tara

Hi Tara, I am 1 year out, have lost 88lbs (thank God) and feel so much better. I really don't know what to tell you. I would think the best place to start is to go back to protein drinks, cutting out all fattening items, and exercise. I don't have that problem yet. Maybe try the Beckley wls support group, I'm sure they can help you. I live in Newhall, WV; McDowell Co. God Bless, Good luck and hope things go good for you.

HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 88#!!!!!! Good for you! Ya know, when I had my surgery I NEVER had any real follow-up suggestions about diet. I wasn't told about protein drinks!!! The ONLY limitation (aside from the low sugar/starch/fat) was citrus fruits! I'm soo confuzzled about the diet aspect because it seems I was told lots of different things as most all of the generally current post-ops. *SIGH* I soo need this group!!! *HUGS* Tara

Hey Tara! Try to get to a support meeting ASAP! They can help you! Also see your doctor. I really hate to hear this. Email me anytime you need to talk.

HI Courtney... I agree a support group would be of GREAT benefit. However, I live in Bluefield, I haven't a CLUE where to find a group...locally that is. Also, I lived in FL when I had surgery and moving this far (also having lost a baby) has served to invoke depression. I THINK that's my biggest obstacle. Thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate them!!!! *HUGS* Tara

Hi Tara, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Sounds like you've been through so much. It's hard to stay away from food when it's been such a comfort to us for so long! Anyway, here's a website that might help you get "started" on finding some more support...I'll put commas in where the periods go so I don't get in twuble http;//www,wvwls,com/ e-mail me anytime!! -Lori p.s. hubby went to college in Bluefield
