Diet programs, near Beckley?

I have been on a 6 month dr. supervised diet since march, Now it looks like I may have to do another 6 months.Unless I can prove that my own personal attempts count.If I can`t do that, I am looking to go to a program, like from a hospital clinic, or diet drs type.The kind where they help you get exersising and therapy.I am not originaly from Wv, so I don`t know of any.I figure that if I have to do this .I will do it right.I might be able to lose a good amount befor wls. I have already failed as a weigh****cher Thanks . Dar

They used to do Medi-fast in Bradley but not sure if they still do. What about just seeing your family doctor once a month and him putting you on a certain amount of calories and him documenting it well. I think they said in the seminar that would work. I have did just about everything in Beckley......I dont know about you but I'd like to start an obesity help support group......I know there is one sponsored by Medabolix at RGH....but I would like to attend an OH group...

Yes that would be great to have a support group. How do I find out about the Medabolix group at RGH?

Courtney... It is once a month....usually the 3rd Monday from 7 - 9PM.....in the 2nd floor classroom......I think the leader is Bertia Teide...The next meeting is June 21

Teresa, this is where the medabolix comes in but the support group itself doesn't have anything to do with medabolix. Most of us that come have had surgery in Charleston with Dr. Stickler or Dr. Shinn but anyone is welcome. Dr. Rubio has a weight loss clinic. I think it's just diet pills. Debbie S
