New member here!

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting a message here. I just found out about this site from a co-worker last week. It is a fabulous site and I have learned so much already. I have decided to have wls. If approved,I will have it done in Pittsburgh. I received my packet along with a 36 page questionnaire,which is complete and ready to be mailed tomorrow. Welcome to the board. My name is Teresa I live in Princeton WV I had my surgery on 09/11/2003 in Charleston by Dr. SHin. Im crazy about him....I have lost 120 pounds since surgery. It is the best thing I have ever done for me... Teresa

HI! I am in the process of getting ready for surgery. I am going to Pittsburgh also. I went up yesterday to see a hematologist. I have a stress test on the 16th if everything goes well, I should get a surgery date soon. I attended my seminar last oct. The process is slow. I have many comorbid conditions and have had to have several tests and consultations. I will go through whatever they want to have this surgery. I am so tired of being a prisoner in my own body. Hang in there when the process goes slow. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Hi Kathy! I'm also starting my journey. I had to reschedule my appt with my surgeon until 4/20 to get the ball rolling. Good luck to you and welcome to the boards! ---Barb

I'm new too, and in the process of finding a surgeon. It is looking like my husband and I will have to go to Charleston for our Surgeon. That is about 4 hours from where I live. Do any of you know of a good surgeon that is closer? IF so please let me know. I want this surgery done yesterday OK, I sound like my 4 yr old son......
