Has anyone had surgery at WVU with Dr. Goldman or Dr. McNatt in Morgantown? I am in Harpers Ferry and my PCP recommended them. I have been to their orientation and left with a good feeling. Would like to know if anyone else has been thru their minimally invasive surgery. Thanks.

I've never used them; however, I am in the process. I have to find a PCP to refer me to them and submit the needed paperwork to WV medicaid. I live in Martinsburg.

Have you been to their orientation? I was at the March one. I received an email from Mary Anne, the coordinator/dietitian yesterday and I am scheduled to meet with Dr McNatt and MaryAnn on April 8th. I am so excited - of course I still have to get it thru insurance.

Michele, I am sorry that I know nothing about either doctor. I called last week and no one ever called me back from their office. But I can tell you that Dr. Goldman had previously worked in Huntington, WV. So you might be able to find some of his old patients that way as well. Best of luck in your journey.

Hi, I'm Deb. I had my open RYN @ Cabell Hgnt Oct 2002 with Dr. Goldman. He is wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can get reviews from his other patients on this website, I'm just not sure where to go. I liked everything about him and his staff. I've lost 107lbs, @ goal weight. I'm having a tt and breast lift April 15th @ Cabell. This surgery was a lifesaver. Thanks for reading Deb

Look in the left margin for Bariatric Surgeons; click on it & then look for the surgeons in question. If you click on the procedure (RNY) it will show you members who used that doctor. Kathy in Princeton

I had surgery with Dr. McNatt on 1/27/03. He seemed very knowledgable about the surgery and I came through with flying colors. I have lost between 90-95 of the 100 pounds that I needed to lose. If you would like me to answer any more questions drop me an email at [email protected] and put your name in the title. Oh by the way im over in Martinsburg so we are almost neighbors.. lol Carol

I had surgery with Dr. McNatt on March 8 & am doing great. I think he's a fine surgeon. Mary Anne has been a Godsend as well. I had the surgery on a Monday and was discharged on Wednesday of the same week. I've had 2 follow ups so far and won't go back again until July 8. As far as WVU Hospitals (radiology & other staff), however, make sure that you have people with you who aren't afraid to speak up when you have your surgery. Once I was off of the step down unit and in a regular room, there weren't enough nurses or aides to do all that needed to be done. My floor was full - not one empty bed - and the nurses were flooded. Radiology was an experience too, make sure someone is with you when you go there after your surgery for the leak test. Don't get me wrong, overall it was a good experience and I would use the hospital again. I think it's just a chronic nationwide thing, not necessarily a WVU thing.

Dr. McNatt did my surgeon 02-03-2003, and I have lost 127 pounds, I really liked him and his staff. He is young and has a great sense of humor. Very thorough and up front with you. I am returning 02-23-2004 for a hernia repair and a tummy tuck. I think he is wonderful. He gave me a whole new life. Good Luck! Elanda Fauber
