I attended a very informative and uplifting seminar today about Lap RNY. A lot of my apprehensions were spoken to and I feel a lot better. Now begins the battle with insurance. I was told today by an Aetna rep that this is a 'popular fad' when she was going over the criteria for approval. That kind of made me angry... I wonder after cardiac bypass surgery became a life-saver if it was referred to as 'a popular fad'.??? Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Barb, Dont take it personally, people who are not like us usually sont understand nor do they know how to react. Just dont let anyones negativity set ya back. Was your seminar in Charleston?
