vertical band vs. roux-en y

my doctor has given me the option of the vertical banded gastroplasty or roux-en-y bypass.....i am leaning toward the band because of the "dumping" issue can anyone give me there experience with band and if you would have changed and had the other surgery if able. thanks

Lauren, Don't choose either one without checking into the BPD/DS. I had it done lap 11 days ago and am feeling great. I have already lost 13 pounds and am eating soft foods.
