Hi Barbara, I called UPMC and asked about Dr. Schauer and when my packet came it was for Dr. Hamad. She has studie and now works under Dr. Schauer. I have only heard good things about her. I sent my packet back and am now waiting for them to respond. I called after two weeks and she said it could be a few more weeks before I hear when my first consult will be. Let me know what you are finding out thru them. what insurance do you have? Best of Luck, Amber

I live in Parkersburg. I would HIGHLY recommend you all get a info packet from Dr. Stickler in Charleston also. I have been on this ride for a few months and Dr. Shauer's office JUST called me to schedule an appt. for June 17th. I have already been through all my stuff and have a SURGERY DATE of May 28th with Dr. Stickler. He worked under Dr Shauer and I have heard from many he is really good. Hope this helps!
