Dr. Akkary, welcome!  Are you going to be setting up anywhere else?  I would much rather stay with you if I can - but I've a limited window of time that I can take off work for the surgery :(

I'm hoping for an August 9th surgery date, so I've been working with Dr. Costa's office to try to get that done (I've a vacation on Labor Day weekend I want to be able to take!).  However, my husband is only halfway through the process, so he would rather stay with you wherever you go.  Good luck!

Well, so much for August 9th.  We're talking mid-September now.  AND I discovered I will be his FIRST sleeve gastrectomy - I'm not completely comfortable with that.

Dr. Akkary, if you are re-establishing yourself anywhere close by, I'd much rather stick with you!  I was also unimpressed with their office's inefficiency.

I would like to thank everyone for all the kind notes ... and would like to apologize for the delay in restarting the practice .. some hospitals couased a lot of delays ..I started my practice at Preston Memorial hospital in Kingwood last week and have already performed a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy and lap band .. I was the sleeve!  Thank you again for all your help, Dr. Akkary.  I am SO glad I opted to wait until you had re-established your practice.  He was awesome, folks!
