Beckley WLS Support Grp Mtg 11/19
Hi Everyone!
The Beckley WLS Support Group meeting will be held on MONDAY, November 19, from 7:00-9:00pm at Raleigh General Hospital on Harper Road, Beckley. Guests are welcome and everyone is encouraged to attend! (Our meeting location changed a few months ago. If you haven't attended in a while, please see the directions to the new education building and meeting room below.)
This month: Our special guest is Dr. Robert Shin, head of bariatric surgery at CAMC. Dr. Shin will be available to discuss any weight-loss questions you may have! We are also having our annual PROTEIN TASTING PARTY! Want to try a new protein supplement? Have some protein powder you didn't like, but don't want to throw away? Or just have a great protein supplement you would like everyone to try? Bring it to our protein tasting party in November. Lenora will also bring samples from BariatricEating.com. Cups & water will be provided. If you need anything else to mix your particular sample, please bring it along. If you don't have any to share, don't worry...sharing isn't required!
We will also discuss our Christmas Party in December. The turnout in 2006 was great. If you don't attend any other meetings during the year, please plan to come in December and catch-up with everyone!
Directions to the new meeting room: It is a new building behind where our old one used to be (this building has been torn down). You will see a wheelchair ramp and some steps leading to a glass door. There is a sign that says "Education Center." It will be fairly obvious once you are there. There is parking to the rear of the building, so you won't have to park in the main parking lot. This is a permanent change of meeting place.
