Anyone from Boone,Lincoln or Kanawha Counties

I am waiting for my call from Dr. Robert Shin. I would like to talk to others that have had the lap band or gastric bypass to see what all they had to do before being able to have the surgery. Dr Shin performed my Lap RNY on December 28. Go to the seminar and he will explain everything. I usually watch the Main messageboard on here.

Susan, thank you for replying to my message. I called the number Monday and they told me the seminar for March was full and that I would have to wait until April 19th seminar. I was very disappointed, but will have to just go with the flow. May I ask how much weight you have lost since December 28th? I want to lose around 90 to 100 lbs. I'm just 5' tall and this weight is really taking it's toll on my knees.

I have lost 44lbs since surgery. I am 5'7 and I was 230lbs. I had diabetes and my knees also hurt. I am considered a lightweight with not much weight to lose,90lbs. Right now I am at a stand still, I havent lost any for a week, I've stayed the same.
