Hello is anyone out there???
Hi Kim,
Nice to meet you. I take B12 sublingual from Medabolix 3 times a week. But I know the people in my support group that take the shots know when it's time for one - so that tells me they do feel different. Might want to email Dr. Stickler or Kelly and let them know how you're feeling. Just go to Medabolix.com and email them. I know they monitor the site daily. As for protein. I've never had a problem with it, but I use an unflavored and put it in everything. Yogurts, soups, eggs, salads anything I can. It doesn't always look too good, but it's the right thing to do so you do it. I also lean towards meats and foods that are high in protein to get it in. I try to average 100 to 110gms per day. You have to supplement your diet with protein products and shakes.
Even if you're diet is impeccable, you cannot eat enough to get it all in everyday.
Lisa,
Do yoursef a favor and make sure you go to a OH meeting. There's still one close in Columbus in a month or 2 - might want to get with friends from the WLS community together and go!
Please, know that you're always welcome at our suport group meetings the 2nd Friday of each month at 6:00pm at 600 Tracey Way in Northgate Business Park in Charleston. Hope yo meet you face to face some day. We're always here if you need us.
Thanks so much for the invitation. I work in Charleston so I may do that sometime since I don't get off wor****il 5 anyway. From your photos it looks like you're a real success story!! You look wonderful. I am 5 weeks out from lap RNY and doing great - don't want to eat anything but am doing what I have to!! Hope to get to meet you as well.
Lisa:
I too am getting used to regular food. I have found out that I cannot eat scrambled eggs. I did very super up until this point. I am not sure if I am going to be able to tolerate milk. I haven't gotten sick yet, but feel quesy. So, I keep waiting a week or so and try again. Other milk products don't bother me.
I had checked out your Dr. before I decided on Dr. Stickler. He sounded good too.
