Topic: New and approved.
Well I am not exactly new. I have been a lurker.. I just found out tonight at 4:30 that my insurance approved my surgery. I am so excited. I will find out on Monday when my surgery will be. Please tell me everything I will need while I am in the hospital and what I will need to get for when I am home for the first few weeks. I want to be totally prepared.
Thanks
Julie

THANX... But marshfield is the Dr. that denied doing the repair. I'm unable to travel to far due to a very tight budget that we live on.

its all in how you heal and deal with pain. i was off for 2 and half weeks. i had my surgery in the middle of the week. i could have used another couple of days off, but my bank account didn't allow for that. if you have to go back just be careful and don't pu**** i had lifting restrictions for one or two months after surgery. but i think that was more for the saftey of my consumers because i work in the caregiver field with adults. just follow your instructions and all should be well

I just found this site by chance and I am so happy to be able to talk to people who are going through or have gone through the surgery. I look forward to keeping in touch with you. Oh and I am looking to find out how much time I will need to take off of work after the surgery. I was thinking 2 weeks????

I'd check at the Marshfield Clinic and see if there's someone there, though I don't have brilliant answers on that. University of WI-Madison might also be a good choice. I see Dr. Chua in Milwaukee--if you don't mind making an extra hour or two drive, I think he would give you excellent treatment, although I freely admit my bias.
Topic: Aurora Siani WLS support group Wed Nov 18th
Hi everyone,
Well want to put a notice ahead of time that on Wed Nov 18th 6 to 8 pm there will be another WLS support meeting. I believe this time is also the clothing drive so can bring in clothes that don't fit anymore. What we do is swap clothes. Love it. Last time I only found 1 but that is the one I am wearing in my current picture. Didn't think it would fit until Xmas but end of Oct. I was weating it. I just went shopping for new clothes. So I need to clean out my closet, drawers of things I don't wear anymore.
So hope to see some new faces there. Its a great place to meet new friends going thru the same things we are.

If you still have Title 19..it's not too late..
Call 1-800-291-2002 and ask to speak to Wes.
Tell him your doctor is not covered in an HMO, or that you have already started treatment with a dr..
He will mail you a form to fill out and they will more than likely let you stay on Title 19..
