Topic: Looking for people in or around Spring Valley Wisconsin who had rny

I had rny back in Feb. I started at 306 and am now 220. I am looking for some people who want to get together and walk, exercise. And sometimes just chat.

Topic: Nutritionist coverage?? Badgercare

I was referred to a nutritionist by my PCP, I am interested on having the lap-band done. Badgercare says they will not cover me when I go and see the nutritionist, but they do cover the surgery? Anyone else have badgercare and have problems like this?

Topic: RE: Scared of extra skin

If you're young and have good genetics, you might luck out when it comes to not having as much loose skin. Over the counter "firming" products are pretty much useless.

It also makes a difference how much weight you have to lose. If you have hundreds of pounds to lose, you'll find skin a lot less likely to snap back, unfortunately.

If you exercise consistently, you might be able to fill in the saggy bits!   I think arms and legs are easier to build muscle in than abdomen. And saggy skin on the face... not a lot can be done short of cosmetic surgery, I don't think.

Best of luck! I hope you luck out and have good elasticity! :-)

Topic: Scared of extra skin

I am in the process of getting approved for the gastric bypass.  I am deathly afraid of loose skin.  Are there any tricks that help to improve it while losing?
