Does anyone know how picky UMR insurance is and what they really look at or what is all required??  Also what to expect at the psychological appointment??  I had read some others info that someone was didn't pass the psych eval as they stated they ate a lot and the doctor said they were a binge eater and had to get help with this first?? Doesn't most people over weight eat more then they should, the wrong foods, or not excercise??  But my most important question is what UMR (united medical resource, I believe) cover. I had VSG rather than lap-band (no fills needed, which can get spendy).  I paid 9500 in Mexico.  Call me crazy, but the doctor was wonderful and I had a terrific team in the US that I worked with to coordinate it.  US healthcare is so expensive, and I know from several family members who work in healthcare that there is so much waste... expenses that we as patients end up paying for.  Of course, for me, insurance wouldn't pay so I had little choice of where to go.   Best of luck to you!

Hey there experienced WLS people! What happens first at the Bariatric Center in Neenah? Is it that   the center just sends it in to the insurance company and doesn't tell me  exactly what day they do that, then they  only call me when there is a response from the insurance or is there another order of events? I hate to call there and make a bother of myself. Thanks for any insight you may have.
