Topic: UHG Employee needs help with insurance approval
Hi I am new to this site. I am wondering if anyone out there works for United Health Group, have their insurance, and has received an approval for bariatric surgery? I believe there is a written exclusion in our handbook, but there has GOT to be a way around it.....has anyone been through this experience and can you give any helpful hints or suggestions? Thanks so much!

Hi Mariah:  I don't know how far you would consider traveling, but Dr David Janssen in Oshkosh, WI is absolutely wonderful.  I know people come from all over the country to see him.  I know two people who have come from California, and one from New York to have surgery by this physician.  I have had some surgery by him also.  Not only is he a wonderful surgeon, he is extremely kind and very easy to talk to.  He never makes you feel "hurried", and he is willing to answer all your questions.  His staff is also wonderful.  The follow up program is very organized.  I can't say enough good things about this physician.  He is truly a class act.  Good luck in your search.

Dr. Kemmerling holds a support group in green bay.  I believe the next one is march 10th it is very informative.  It is located @ his office on Cormier road.  You could probably call his office to get all of the details.
