Topic: RE: Badger Care Plus
Hi have you heard anything yet? Have you gone thru the 6 months requirements? I have May and June and will have the requirements. I do have badger care. My hmo is united health care t-19. I also have Dr. Thomas Chua. I have only seen him one time and that was in Jan 2009. I hope to see him after my last visit with the dietician on June 9th. Then after I see him it goes to the insurance company and who knows how long that will be. ugh.

Topic: Anyone had surgery at Froedtert with Dr. Wallace??
I am almost ready to schedule my surgery with Dr. Wallace, and am wondering how it went with others.  I also work at Froedtert, but no where near the inpatient side.  How is it as a patient?? Was Dr. Wallace the one to help after your surgery, or was it more of his support staff?? I know it is a teaching hospital, and he is a busy man. I would love anyone's input.  Thank you,

Thanks for reading!

Well my surgery is now set for Tuesday the 21st. I like him too, just wanted to know who else was out there. Do you go to the support groups? Good luck!

They welcome everyone, they know that with some insurance requires people to have surgery in Milwaukee. It is on the same floor as the skywalk that goes over the street. Go across the skywalk, through the corridor until you have to go left or right, you will take a left.  It is the first conference room.

Grammazuzu,

WOW!! 125!!! That’s is soo Great congratulations!!!  It does look like the conference will be a lot of fun; I am not staying at the Intercontinental Hotel, I will be staying down the road about two miles for half the price. Special price parking will be $11.00 per day, so still I am coming out ahead lol. I hope everything goes well with your knee replacement, If you do really well in your post surgery therapy with the PT you really should be just fine.  It would be great to meet you at the conference if you do go, keep me posted

Take Care
Dani

Wow--188--makes my 125 look puny!! I plan to go if I am up to it as I am having a knee replacement on May 15th. I am going to register, anyway. It looks awesome to me, and very inexpensive.

Thank you, Char. Is it only for Dr. Jahndali's patients, or anyone who has undergone bariatric surgery. Where do they meet? In the basement?

It went pretty good! Dr. Engstrand had his work cut out for him with me! I had a 7 1/2 hr. surgery because of a surprise hernia, a hiding appendix and a stone-filled gallbladder removal. I had a bit of a rough start, but I am starting to feel a little better every day!

Hi Jules....

I had my surgery there in September of 2008 (Dr. Engstrand too)... and it was a great hospital.  I had diabetes back then so they had to come in my room and check my blood sugar every hour day and night and that got to be a little annoying after a while but it was a necessary thing I guess.  The hospital, room, nurses and staff are all superior!  It was a positive experience in every way.

This is who my insurance required me to go through to have surgery.  It went very quickly once I completed all the post-op stuff.
