Topic: RE: Hey Wisconsinites! Where did you have your "Last Supper(s)"??
well, i had 2 weeks before my surgery.. I went out to eat at a bunch of places- BUT i also didnt stuff myself.. i ate like normal, had leftovers. I went to chinese, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse (love their rolls!!), Rivers Bend Supper Club (green Bay) for their crab legs/seafood.. Noodles & Co...
LOL. I got my taste of all my fav's and didnt feel guilty. I actaully didnt gain any weight in those 2 weeks, which was great!! :)

Topic: RE: Support in the Green Bay/Shawano Area
I had my surgery through Bellin Bariatric, but im pretty sure the support groups are open to the public (or someone who didnt go through Bellin) I started going to them prior to my surgery..
One of the meetings is usually with guest speaker on a topic- nutrition, fitness, plastic surgery, balance, etc.. and then the other is a group meeting- general discussion. I went to one with a speaker, but there was still alot of group discussion as well. very nice group!

Topic: Vitalady Samples
Hello Everyone,
I have some vitalady nectar protein samples that I purchased right after my surgery. I did not care for them. I currently have several of the samples left that I am trying to get rid of. If anyone is interested let me know. I will send them to you at no cost. I just don't want to waste them away.

Topic: June 12th, Clothing Exchange Guidelines
Hi everyone!
I wanted to let you all know about the clothing exchange that will be taking place on June 12th at the OH conference in Rosemont, IL.
If you have clothes that you would like to pass along to others please bring them to the conference in Rosemont on June 12. Drop off begins at 10 am. I will be there along with others to help sort them out.
If you can remember a few things:
1. Please make sure all clothing is WASHED prior to drop off.
2. If you can sort them into trash bags by size, that will be a big help.
3. Exchange will open at 2:00 pm.
4. People do not have to bring clothing to be able to take clothing home.
5. Please bring your own bags to transport your "treasures" home with you.
6. There is no extra charge for ANY of this! It is included in your ticket!
Thanks! I am looking forward to making lots of new friends and I hope to see you there!

Topic: RE: Anyone Have Surgery at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital?
I had Dr Engstrand as well and he did a great job. The hospital is a good one and I have no complaints. Glad your surgery went well and you are on the mend.
Topic: RE: I have a surgery date!!!
You are so close to sitting on the losers bench with the rest of us.
I would highly recommend that if you have any favorite foods that are high in sugar/fat/calories, then now would be the time to have your last meals.
It is not that after surgery you will eat bland foods, but you will never know the effects some of the foods my have on you. I do not dump unless it is a load of sugar, but my wife will dump on a mini ice cream cone. Not that she should be eating ice cream regularly, but a taste every now and then is fine but she just can not tolerate it anymore.
The good thing is that you will most likely find that your tastes have changed and your desire for some of the wrong foods will diminish.
Good luck with your surgery and you will be in good hands with Dr. Wallace!
