Topic: RE: What is your favorite "a-ha" moment?
Here we are again. What does Alice's response have to do with this other womans wonderful experience? This is what could be great about this site. Having someone tell us of an experience, good or bad, and not having someone else jump in with sarcastic remarks. A few negative people on this site...I am very happy to hear about your wonderful a-ha! moment with the stairs, good for you! I hope you have  many more and hope you will keep sharing with those of us who want to hear about them. there are a lot of us, I believe, on here for reasons other than negative doctor slamming (I have narrowed it down to 2 slammers for sure). I have to say, I am interested in meeting with this dr they keep talking about. A lot of good posts about him too. I have to see if there is anything in him that the haters keep talking about...hmmmm

Anytime you can encourage someone.  Anytime you do your job, giving 100 percent.  That is an a-ha moment for sure!!

I still remember mine, almost ten years ago. It was the first time I ran a up all the front steps to my house. I didn't realize it until I was on the step that I did this effortlessly and without thought. I had never been able to walk up those steps without gasping for air before.  It was a miracle for me.

My A-ha moment was when I realized what a far better NURSE coordinator I am than the one I had.  I have far more compassion, I don't use fake posters, I don't have a following.  I don't need one, I do things the right way.  That is what makes me feel pride.

I do my job well.

Well, it has been a long time since I checked in on this board.  I had my surgery with Dr. Prewitt and was doing monthly support at Community Memorial in Menomonee Falls.... of course - they no longer have that.  I try to keep motivated through various fitness groups and healthy sites, but as a WLS person, I feel ALONE in my struggle.  I miss being able to talk with someone who understands.  I live in Dodge County, and cannot make the meeting in downtown milwaukee because of work and the long drive..... so.... anyone out there have sugggestions??  Any new groups that have some to be???  Just askin'

I asked the nurse when I was first deciding on a surgeon.

I have actually decided on someone else, but I'm glad to hear everything went well for you!

My sister is getting her Masters in Eugene right now! I used Dr Regan at Columbia St Mary's in Milwaukee and I have absolutely NO complaints about him or his team. Look him up, you will see all positive reviews!

Dr. Regan did my sleeve 1/16/12 and I am right on track as far as I can see. I havent had any complications, issues, vomiting, anything. I wasnt aware that he had only done 15 VSG, where did you get this number from? I would say to attend the support groups they have there every other week and maybe talk to more Sleevers. I have NO complaints and would let him do it again! Also, if you do a search on him, you will see only positive reviews!

Darn, I'm new here but live in Franklin.  It took me a minute to find out how far that was from you.

I'm a runner and have workout equipment in my home.

Coming off of a big move I need to get back to running also.

I wish you luck!
