HI everyone, well this be the first time for me to go to a face to face support group meeting. I am very nervous. Hope I would know someone from  here that is going. I know it is last minute.

Its' every 3rd Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm.

Then got to get home and go to bariatric eating chatroom by 8:30. Hope I win something again. I only won once and it was the Inspire peanut butter cookie. So I just order another one today plus there sample kit and her book as well comes with it. So hope to learn more before my surgery. NERVOUS

 I just got a call this morning after I drop the kids off to summer day camp. Hubby and I went out to IHOP. We share a breakfast yep love those strawberry pancakes. But no whip cream and no syrup. While I was eating my cell phone rings. It was the surgeon office telling me they have good news. That I have been approved for surgery. So she ask me how fast I want to have my surgery. I said asap! She said we still have openings in July yet. I take the earliest one. So my surgery date is Tuesday July 28th. She said she would call me back what time it will be and hospital and the testing as well as the surgery physical. So I was checking out at Kmart. Got me a bed tray so I can at least be able to use my lap top and for when I need to eat. May not even need it but figure have it anyways. Also got some sleepwear which are like extra long tshirts is what they look to me. Have tweety bird, tinker bell and betty boop. Got them on sale of course. And got me some sports bra's only place I could find that has a size 48. I have gone down from 52/54  and that is in regular bras. I could never wear a sports bra for many years. Even though they are little snug so figure once I lose more weight they will fit nicely. 2 pk for $10 so grab 2 of the 2 pks. Nice not only have the boring white!! Now I have gray, pink and white. got a pair of stretchy shorts the other colors I had already too. size smaller then I wore 6 months ago. So I have to be at the hospital at 10:30 and surgery is at 1230 on Tuesday July 28. Tomorrow I go to for a test  my stomach for bacteria. so had to go off my prevacid for 2 weeks. I am missing my prevacid. Then on July 22 I go to the hosptial for all my testing she said to plan to be there 3 to 4 hours be there at 9:15. Got to fast for this one and she tells me for supper no fat foods. Hmm haven't done that in 7 months. Trying to write this down and the lady is waiting for me to pay her. ugh. Then I go to the surgeon office to have my phsyical on July 23rd at 10 am. And now I am waiting for the dietician to call for my appt with he before surgery. So going to be busy in the next 2 weeks. That went quickly once i was approved. It woujld been 2 week stomorrow since I saw the surgeon. so I guess the surgeon was right that it would be a month took 2 weeks for the approval and then 2 weeks for the surgery as have to get in all the testing in first. I didn't want to get in August as it would be hard on my hubby with the kids. At least they will be in day camp until July 30 the day I come home and they go to cool waters. They go Monday thru Thursday 9 to 4. So I will be able to drop them off that day. Then go to the hospital for my surgery. My husband express to me that he is nervous and scared. I told him I am eicited and nervous, scared all at the same time. How do I get my hubby to understand and not worrry so much about the surgery. I am strong lady and I will be ok. I am going to live a longer happy healthier life. I told him remember when we first met I was a size 12. I felt I was overweight. Then the picture we took together a year before we were married. I believe it was size 18/20. As I remember my dress for our wedding was a size 20.

Hello all!!! Its been awhile since I last posted!!! Is there anyone in the kenosha county area that has a snapfitness membership and needs a workout buddy. I would love to share this journey with someone that has had surgery or is planning on having surgery. I am six months post op down 70 pounds and could use a good butt kickin at the gym. Let me know!!

Thank you for responding.  My wife and I had talked about and she basically told me the same thing. I did get it checked out had an ultrasound done of the whole leg and there was no blood clot which is the best news I heard. Now I just had xrays yesterday to see if there is any kind of fracture cus I have a history of broken bones in the same leg. I pretty much figured I didn't have a case because I waited so long. and refused care that night but it didn't really  start hurting until the next day. Heres the thing I don't get though it did not bruise up for a week after. Now I think I tore some thing in my knee also I believe I twisted after I started to fall or just after so my knee is feeling weird also. But had all kinds of x-rays yesterday just  have to wait for the results from them.
