That sounds really good.  What do you use for protein powder?  Daisy

UW Health - East Bariatric Clinic has support groups (South Central WI).

I would suggest your friend check out Dr. Gould at www.uwhealh.org.  Go to the East Clinic location, then bariatric clinic and give them a call.  He has a wonderful sense of humor and puts you at ease.

Topic: RE: How to make a GREAT protein shake!
Hi, I'm not sure if this is directed at me.

I follow the diet given to my by my nutritionist.

Protein first, then veggies, then starches.  Listen to my body, and it will tell me when to stop eating.  Now that I have hit my sweet spot, it definitely tells me when!

60+g/protein a day (I get in at least 100g) and now I have upped it to 150g/day.

I am now having 2-3 protein shakes a day to make sure my protein stays high enough (my last labs showed they came in low).  My guess is all the intense exercise I have been doing with my trainer has made my protein levels low.

Hi!

I can't have people falling asleep when watching my videos!  That's just not who I am!  I hope you got some entertainment from it!

I'm glad that you are enjoying my recommendations!  I use the BSN powders and my Magic Bullet daily!  I have to keep my Protein intake really high.  I just got back my labs and my protein is low.   So I'm upping my protein from 100g+/day to 150g+/day.  That means more shakes!

Topic: Frozen Protein Treat
just wanted to share a little treat that I make.  I use a box of suger free fat free jello pudding mix, follow directions and make it.... add 2 scoops of my protein powder.  Put it in the freezer, and when I want an ice cream like treat, it's there.  It's not custard - but does make it easier to get in the protein.  They make a cheesecake flavored pudding and I swirl in raspberry or strawberry preserves.  OR pistachio pudding vanilla protein OR butterscotch pudding vanilla protein with some nuts and it tastes like butter pecan ice cream!  YUMMY!!
