i'll be at dr chuas office on the 9th too

I am so sorry I did not make the meeting tonight I overslept I work third shift anyway I hope you had a great time. I am looking forward to meeting you soon. I was finally given my date to meet with Dr. Chua on Oct 9th and today I called to ask if I could get an earlier date and I was able to be squeezed in on Mon Sept 21st I am so excited. The office thought they lost all my paperwork I told them not to worry because I had copies of everything but they finally find it. I don't have to tell you how excited I am to be this much closer to having my surgery. I am getting a little nervous I have printed out all kinds of information about my surgery I have copies all over the house. I just would love to be able to bend down and tie my shoes without getting dizzy.

Thanks Tasha! Do you ever come to the support meetings? There is one tonight at 6 pm. Across from Aurora Siani in the heart institute. I will be there tonight. I hope to see others from OH there tonight. It is a great supportive group. This will be my 3rd time going. I went 1 time before my surgery and another after my surgery. Just a great group! Tonight topic is Why am I hungry? 

I love Deanna the dietician she is great. I am glad they reschedule my appt today for morning and I was able to switch to Deanna. She is great I like her alot. That i am going to request her all the time. I also like that she does emails too. She been helpful to me alot.

I saw Dr Chua on Monday of this week. Said I am doing great. I lost 34 lbs since my surgery on July 28th which is about 6 weeks now. So that makes my total of 84 lbs since Jan 2009. He told me to stop my last high blood pressure med. It was getting to low 94/65. I was on 2 meds for it but then stop one and other was lower. Now I am none. I also take no diabetes meds either or cholestrol either. So only taking my allergy med, prevacid and water pill plus my vitamins. I am still using my cpap machine. Nice not having to take all these meds anymore.

Well hope to see everyone tonight at the face to face meeting. Nice to meet others face to face.

I have not evern given rny a second thought because I know several people who have gotten it and they have all gained the weight back and more. I don't want to have the dumping syndrome I had enough throwing up with the lap-band I have been on all the ds forums and like the results. The weight loss with ds is sustained longer.
