Southern Wisconsin Support Group Meeting

Circle of Hope, the Obesity Help Southern Wisconsin Chapter support group, will meet from 6:30 -8:00 p.m. on Thursday May 11, 2006 at Central Lutheran Church, 100 W. Rollin St., Edgerton. The topic for this month's meeting is "Grazing and Good Habits." Email me if you need directions or information. It's best if you park in the parking lot on the side of the church (to enter drive north on Main St. past Rollin St. - entrance is half a block past Rollin St. on the left). Enter the rear "Sunday School" doors right off the parking lot and go upstairs. We are meeting in the lounge which is halfway down on the left just past the church office. Hope to see you there! Hello Jen, I am new here and I would love to come to the meeting. I live in Janesville and I have not heard of a meeting close to me. I have not had surgery yet. I have been denied by insurance and now have to jump through their hoops. I start my six month study on the 12th of May. I would love to come to the meeting. I have a hard time doing stairs though. I might tackle it. Can't wait to meet you. Jodi

Hi Jodi! We'd love to have you. I can tell you there are only 6 stairs. I tried hard to get a meeting space that would be accomodating, because I've been there. A year ago I could hardly climb stairs myself. Many others can relate to that - don't feel alone! I can meet you in the front of the church if you like, we can go down some stairs then to an elevator if that would be easier. Email me at [email protected] and we'll make arrangements! Hi Jennifer, My name is Linda I finally get to see Dr Chua for the first time! It has been a long journey to say the least! I would love to come to this meeting not sure where this is or how far ? I am only hoping that now my insurance will cover the lap band for me that is what I am going for. Cant wait to find out! Thanks..Linda

Hi Linda, Nice to meet you! Sounds like you are going through quite a struggle. I know its really a hassle but take what you can from the nutritionist. You're getting a good education that will serve you well postop! Edgerton is north of Janesville, about 80 miles from Milwaukee. If that's where you are from, you may want to look into a meeting in that area. I bet Dr. Chua has a support group, ask if you can attend that. My hospital has a support group just for Lap-Band patients. It's a good thing! Of course, if you want to make the trip, email me for more details. I'd love to meet you!
