What do you think my chances are?

My insurance was refusing to pay for the nutritionist appointment. When I called to find out why, they said that they do not pay for weight loss programs unless my PCP states that I am morbidly obese and includes my BMI. This is the same thing I was told when I asked four months ago if they cover WLS. Well I received an e-mail stating that they now have paid for my Nutr. Appointments. So do you think my chances are good for them to pay for WLS? Or am I getting excited over nothing yet. M

I would suggest calling your insurance & ask what requirements they have for WLS. I am on State assistance & they say it has to be "medically nessecary" as well as several other steps. I am currently just awaiting the info to be sent from the Dr to them, then I'll know if I met all requirements. Try them(insurance) first, and then stress, not in reverse!! LOL Dana
