Info. on cost of surgery

Hello everyone! I am interested in knowing what the total cost of your surgery was. I have only gotten the cost of the Lap RNY at the Barix clinic which is $25,500.00 and it's all inclusive. If I am to go forward with this I am going to have to pay out of pocket and am looking for the least expensive place in the IL/WI area. I know Mexico is cheap but I'd rather be close to home. That's a good price I think. I had Lap rny and got discounts since I worked at Dean. I had my surgery at St Marys in Madison. My total cost was $29,200 out of pocket. Also, my insurance is not paying for any costs related to the surgery since surgery itself is not a covered expense, so if I would have any complications and they can relate it back to being caused by my surgery, I am responsible to pay. HI Rebecca, I am in the same boat as you. I want tohave this done also, and the least expensive way. I also went to see Dr. Boe in January. I had a surgery date set for FEbruary 13th, and then my husband wanted me to try the insurance one more time, so I did, and they denied it again. I have also been in contact with Dr. Armando Joya in Mexico, and it sounds so good. I tried to find someone who has had a bad experience, but haven't been able too. My husband doesn't want me going down there either, but the price is so good, and he has a great track record. Not sure what I will do. Keep me posted as to what you are going to do. Thanks Tammy H.
