Help! Should Care Change?

I have a friend that is doing a study of pre- & post- care. His question is ... If you could, what would you do differently if you knew then what you know now? Please be frank & brutually honest. I probably would have called my doctor sooner when I was postop. I was vomiting all the time for the first 4-5 weeks and just thought it was normal. But turns out it wasn't. I ended up having a hernia and maybe if I had seen the doctor sooner I would have had the second surgery before it got to be an emergency and I would have felt better sooner.
