Platteville Support Group?

I have just recently (8 days ago) had lap-RNY and am looking for a support group to join in the Platteville-Prairie du Chien area. I go to college (and live during the week) at UW-Platteville and travel home on weekends to Prairie du Chien. I am willing to go as far as 60 miles in any direction. I need some help with this from people who understand so I would really appreciate any information on a support group in this area. Thanks so much for your help. Amy

I know that Dr. Rebchook in Platteville has a support group. It is on Thursday evenings - I'm thinking the 4rth one of the month. He is located at the Dean Clinic there. It has been a long time since my husband went to their support group. Also - if you are willing to drive to Madison I've started a post op support group. It is on the 1st Sat. of the month. I live in Cottage Grove. I'm apprx. 1 hr from Dodgeville - so add another 30 min. to that. Also -- Dean West Clinic has their support group on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:30pm. And would be about 1 hr and 15 min. from you. Good Luck!! Gala

There is also support group and a great support website that has information about the when and wheres. Group is at Gunderson Lutheran in La Crosse, Wi and the website is http://rnylacross.groupee.net which is managed by a bariatric patient.
