HUDSON, WI - OH EVENT - JUNE 6TH, 2006!!!

Hey all - earlier I wrote a post "Would you come to meet....Monica Ganz?" and several responses stated they didn't know who she was - or that they would come if it was part of a conference, etc. Monica Ganz is the Director of Events and Chapter Leaders from Obesity Help. She trained me to become a Chapter Leader for Hudson, WI - and I informed her from the onset that I was going to work on getting her to HUDSON!! Well, tentative plans are being made for June 4th, 2006 - at the Best Western Hudson House for a "HUDSON, WI OH EVENT!!!!!" Not everything is completed, as it will take us some time to get all the logistics of the "event" in place - but it is something I am strongly striving for because I want her to come visit my town!! I believe this will be BIG....because I am looking for the involvement of the various groups around the Twin Cities as well - to help make this a smashing success so we can do this type of thing again and again. An annual trip for OH?? The moral support is so desperately needed before, during and after we consider WLS....and personally, making this decision has been the best one I have made for myself .... in my entire life!! I can't begin to tell you the amount of energy that I have - and how good I feel overall because of this choice. Although the "Western Wisconsin Weight Loss Surgery Support Group" will be hosting the event for her to come - I am hoping that I will have the involvement from ALL the groups involved in this area.... I have been in contact with Park Nicolette Bariatric Clinic, HCMC, Regions, and Abbott Northwestern so far to get one of their bariatric surgeons to come and speak....and so far, have the committment of 3 of them. I am also working on getting a Plastic Surgeon to come as well... Also, Monica will be bringing Bariatric Advantage....and I have got the committment of GNC as well to have a booth - to share the various vitamins that we need - In addition - a jeweler that is willing to give the medic bracelets at a reduced cost and engraving - Plus.....I have been in contact with a couple of establishments that will be providing door prizes.....maybe a silent auction? Lots of work in doing this project.....but one that I am so very much looking forward to having!! To meet others that have experienced the journeys that we go through to reach the points that we have....to answer questions, to meet and connect with others that can be our angels...or a friend in this road we travel.... Monica - is an awesome person - and I've done nothing more then talk with her numerous of times over the phone and through emails.....but she's energetic, she's an inspiration to everyone here - by all the events that she has attended and facilitated and it will have so much meaning to have her in our town.... So.......if there is anyone out there that would be willing to volunteer to help make this OH event a BIG HUGE SUCCESS......please feel free to contact me - and as we get closer to this date....your help would be greatly appreciated. There will be more information as time progresses.....but I wanted to answer the questions for those that may not know who Monica is....or may have had other questions to my posting that may have seemed a big vague..... hugs to all....I so look forward to meeting you!!
