Hey all...I'm a post op...my surgery date was St Paddy's day 2004..so I'm not quite 2 years out. I feel like I've lost my way and need help getting back on track. I know I'm not eating well, and could really use some help with meal ideas and post-op snack ideas. Suggestions on high protien foods would be great too. I've lost over 100lbs, but still have a way to go I think. I haven't lost any weight in months, I haven't gained either. But at 5ft 1 and 151 lbs it's obvious I have some more work to do. Tomorrow I'll be getting back to the gym, but like I said...I need help with getting back on the right eating track. Wouldn't it be nice if there was some lit online that planned out every meal of the week for us! Thanks much guys! Jen in Pewaukee

Jen, I'm sorry that you are floundering. If you want to get back on track you can certainly do so! The best way to do so is to follow the pouch rules. Go back to the beginning, like you did when you first started. You could kickstart your weight loss again by going on a liquid diet like many of us had to do before we had surgery. Then go through the soft-food phase and slowly on to the regular food phase. Start out with very small portions. Eat 3 meals a day and no snacking. Don't drink liquids with your meals or for at least 30 minutes after your meal. Do go back to exercising. I know how hard that is, but your tool will work for you if you use it as a tool. As for recipes, have you checked out www.baribites.com ? That's Chef David Fouts' website. He has some really good recipes. Chef Fouts himself had gastric bypass. His cookbook has some awesome recipes, as does his website. Also, check out the new cookbook by Carnie Wilson. It too is a really good cookbook with high protein items. Good luc****ep coming here for support! It all helps. Nancy E.
