Support Group Meeting is Thursday October 13
Good evening,
A free support group for people who have completed Weight Loss Surgery (WLS) will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of every month at Central Lutheran Church, 100 W. Rollin St., Edgerton. The group's next meeting is Thursday, October 13, 2005. In addition to the regular meeting agenda, handouts and notes from the recent Obesity Health Chicago conference will be shared.
To be successful with Weight Loss Surgery, people need to make numerous changes to their eating habits and lifestyle. That's hard to do, and this support group is intended to be a caring group of people working together and sharing resources with the common goal of improved individual health.
The main goal of the support group is to create a supportive atmosphere where members can share information and discuss concerns. Other primary goals are to promote fellowship, lessen feelings of isolation, give support and encouragement to others, share coping strategies, exchange ideas and resources, and make new friends.
Email me if you need directions to the church, have questions or need further information. It would be great to see you!

Hi Jenny,
I haven't posted in a long time because I've been really sick. I had surgery this past Monday though and now things should be back to normal. I'm very interested in the group in Edgerton, though I don't quite think I'm ready to travel this week while still recovering.
I am however very interested in coming, or in hosting any type event at my home in Sun Prairie. If you want to email me back privately and I can give you my phone number etc.

Hi Renee,
I will email you privately. I am sorry you have been sick! I hope the surgery went well. I had pneumonia 3 weeks ago and I still am not up to speed. I will say that being sick now that I've lost weight is nothing as hard as it was before. I have so much energy now that even being sick I can cope! Time to relearn how to take care of me - I'm getting all frustrated that I can't do quite as much as I could a month ago. I need to ease up!
We had a good meeting tonight. Small but very beneficial. I admit I went into it thinking no one would show up and was feeling very defeated. Surprisingly, I feel so recharged both in my efforts to get a group going and in my own personal journey. So it was definitely worthwhile.
I'll be in touch, in the meantime take good care of yourself!
