Dr Huepenbecker

Has anyone had Dr Huepenbecker preform their surgery? If so, what did you think. I'm still in the very early stages of the process. I haven't totally decided what Dr I would like to go with. Any advise would be helpful Kimmie

Kimmie: I have heard very good things about him, but never have met him. I had mine done with Dr. Rebchook in Platteville 2 years ago and have been very pleased. He is also a good surgeon if you wanted to stay closer to home. Good luck on your journey. We have a support group that meets at the new hospital in Platteville the last Thursday of every month at 6pm. It is open to anyone regardless of who the surgeon is or if you have had surgery or are thinking about it. I encourage you to come since it is very helpful to post op patients. Hi Kimmie, Dr. Huepenbecker is wonderful. I had my surgery 10 months ago and have lost 125 pounds. I am on vacation this week and checking in from my hotel room. He is very honest about your expected outcomes and what your responsibilities will be to him and what his responsibilities are to you. I am also a nurse at Dean and therefore had to pay for the surgery myself. I could have gone anywhere, but picked Dr. H for his kind way and passion. He really cares and gets excited for us. Kimmie, I had Dr. Sunby perform my surgery, Dr Huepenbecker and he do these surgeries together. I have all kinds of praise for the team. I have been very happy with the results of my Lap RNY. I have heard a lot of good things about BOTH doctors. Hope this helps Shari Lap RNY 5/31/05 262/240/??

Hi Kimmie: I was in your shoes about 5 months ago. I have decided to go with Dr. H, although I haven't actually met the man yet--I have had all the pro-op appts and I am just crossing my fingers waiting for insurance approval. The bariatric department at Dean can be sort of a maze at times, but they are nice people and are working on it.
