Hi all, Can anyone tell me if they know which place takes "uphp" health plan? If is a form of medicaid, as to everyplace I called no one takes it. WhenI called the plan itself they said there are some Dr's in GB. OOOOO I'm so frustrated right now! I have went to 2 appoints in MI. w/Dr. Wood, than my care cordinator calls and says he doesn't take this type of insurance! I couldn't beleive it! I drove 10 hrs 2 seperate times met w/ the Dr. he said everything was good to go, and then I get the call. Now I have to go to greenbay. yes it is closer, since I live in the u.p. however i still need to find a dr. who will take this insurance. Can anyone help? See if I didn't work and was on straight medicaid everything would be fine, however I work and am in a different bracket!

Dear "b" Have you contacted the Marshfield Clinic system? I do not think there is any insurance that they do not take? Dr. Johnson in Wausau general surgery is very good. I hope that this information will help you. They even have a website at Marshfieldclinic.org. You can email there insurance dept and save the phone bill. Joe

Hi there fellow yooper! I am originally from Ishpeming, MI. I am scheduled to have surgery in Neenah, WI at Theda Clark. It is about 5 miles from Appleton, WI. I know of a few people who have been approved for surgery who use medicaid. It took them awhile for the approval and I believe one of my friends had to appeal in order for it to be covered but they did get approved. One of them I know was working at the time. The Dr. that is going to do my surgery is Dr. Wasco which is the same Dr. that did my friends surgeries. I know of one Dr. in Green Bay that does the surgery but I am unsure of what insurances he accepts. His name is Dr. Kemmerling at St. Vincent's hospital. My cousin had him for RNY surgery and she said he is very good too.
