WI budget may eliminate bariatric surgery coverage from Medicaid

Our Bariatric team has informed us that they have received information that the new Wisconsin state budget has a line to eliminate bariatric surgery coverage from Medicaid. The Governor was going to veto the line but now is apparently under pressure to leave this line in the budget. We are very concerned that this could set a precedent for other insurances to follow.
