Self Pay???
I self paid my lap band by borrowing money against my house. I have resonable payments and 9 years to pay it off. I had Dr. Sunby from Dean. I would do it again in a heartbeat and have absolutely no regrets.
Before the surgery I had many more doubts and sleepless nights worrying about whether or not this was a waste of money. 2 weeks out I am absolutely convinced this is the right thing for me.
Dean sometimes offers to do this surgery as an outpatient to make it more affordable. My personal opinion on that is STAY IN THE HOSPITAL OVERNIGHT. No way could I have received the care I got at St. Mary's from my hub. I needed the help. Pushing a button for drugs was great too.
It never hurts to just straight out approach a bank. You never know!

Jen,
I can't agree w/you more. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Sunby. They have been nothing but faboulous for me the last year. In the begining I did struggle with the evals. And didn't think so highly of the 'team'. However, my opinion of Dr. Sunby has NEVER waivered. I love him dearly and am so greatful for the tools he has given me.

I am self pay.I was going to go through the the wls place that that had
a pamplet on but they denied me.They have a 50% rate for giving you the money but i went through fox valley savings bank in fond du lac and boy they were so so nice and willing to help. They set up a payment plan that we could afford.10 years and about 7-8% rate.Better then 19 % from the other place.Really great place to get a loan from. It was a personal loan. Some places offer personal loans but not for much. Any more questions let me know.My surgery is in sept.wish me luck.
